Great time spent with PAVA & Goniec at their 2nd Annual Picnic

Sunday, September 19th 2010.
After a few weeks of more fall-like weather, long awaited, sunny and warm day. Great location of Paderewski Park in Vaughan. What would make a better combination for an outdoor activity?
2nd Annual Picnic was organized by Polish Army Veteran's Association (PAVA) together with the well known, polish local, weekly newspaper Goniec ("Messenger"). The idea was to get together and spend some memorable time in a friendly and family oriented atmosphere.
And it went exactly this way.
There were shows and presentations (singers, dancers, an auction of promotional garments (Goniec), PAVA funded lottery with mountain bike as a main prize and a gift draw (Jolanta Ratajczak). The music was played by Non-Stop, popular polish rock band, and tasty home made food was served in park's "restaurant".

Back stage a number of impressive, shiny motorcycle cruisers (Yamahas, Harleys, Suzukis and BMWs) constantly drew an attention of onlookers and fans. Around, on several stands, a variety of polonica (souvenirs, gadgets) were available for sale.
The event ended well after dusk. All that dancing, game playing, chatting and a lot of fresh air finally made the participants tired. For most, the coming Monday will be another workday. And most will return to Paderewski Park next year for the same occasion.
All in all... it was a wonderfull day for everyone!
